We’ve put together our favorite romantic and fun things to do in Central NJ with your significant other, best friend, or family.
Explore Art Museums
The Princeton Art Museum: Featuring over 100,000 works of art and located in charming small-town Princeton you will be impressed by The Princeton Art Museum which is FREE and open to the public!
Newark Museum: This is the State's largest Museum featuring exhibits which on American Art, decorative, contemporary, Asia, Africa, & more!
Grounds for Sculpture: One of our favorite places--whether exploring indoors in the Winter or exploring the Grounds during the more mild months there is plenty to see here! You can even sit an enjoy a meal at one of their various restaurants. (Grounds for Sculpture is only open Saturdays & Sundays until March 1)
Spend the day underwater
If you and your significant other both love animals, then a trip to Jenkinson's Aquarium is the perfect activity for you both! Located right on Point Pleasant's waterfront, you'll be able to visit an array of sea life. You can even plan your visit around their feeding schedules and see them feed seals, penguins, & Atlantic sharks!
Try A New restaurant
What better time than Valentine's Day should you and your significant other (or family!) go outside your comfort zone and tryout new food?
We recommend Per Tutti, Fiddlehead's, Persis Indian Grill, Ria Mar, or Faros Greek Cuisine.
Watch your Favorite team
One of our favorite pastimes is - you guessed it - our local sports teams! Take your partner or friends on a date night to watch your favorite team at the Prudential Center or Madison Square Garden! You could even keep it more local at the Cure Insurance Arena.
Hit the Ice
Ice skating is a great way to break the ice (pun intended) on a first date or enjoy a special evening with your special someone. Two rinks we love are the Mercer County Skating Rink & ProSkate Ice Arena.
Grab some hot chocolate afterward to warm up, or head over to a nearby bar or restaurant to continue Valentine’s Day festivities.
